The honesty of the speakers – they told it like it was
The importance (and distinction) between mentorship and sponsorship; It was also interesting to think through the impacts of the military taking on almost all staff straight out of school or university without having lateral hires in the way that most industries do
I also liked the active and collaborative participation from the audience (instead of just the status quo Q&A)

The openness and authenticity of the panel members in sharing the sponsorship and opportunity support they received in their career development and how they are passing it on. The importance of sponsorship for women’s career development cannot be understated. There is a real understanding and commitment to inclusion and diversity, beyond gender.
The presenters were so inspirational and also noted the need for diversity in the workplace. It isn’t just about us woman but having diversity gives us the best results in the workplace and allows for more informed decisions. I also loved that the presenters spoke from the heart and were so open and candidate.
The real-ness of the speakers. Sharing elements of their life experiences, and supports from times of diversity that have formed them into the leaders they have become.
The stories from the panel speakers on how many times they had not put themselves up for promotions until prompted.
The women on the panel were authentic and vulnerable; and it was amazing to see that you can achieve senior appointments while remaining true to yourself
There is still under-representation of women and other minorities and leadership is more effective with diversity.
Everyone needs mentors/supporters (who will go and bat for you even when you’re not on the room)
