Inclusive Defence in the AI Era – Navigating the New Normal

In today’s rapidly shifting strategic landscape, where the nature of warfare is evolving and “the world is still preparing for the last war,” Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally transforming Defence. This presentation underscores one essential truth for the AI era: the human brain remains the ultimate weapon, with technology acting as its powerful tool.

We will explore:

The Critical Role of Inclusion: Learn why gender diversity and cognitive inclusivity are indispensable in harnessing the full potential of AI-driven military operations.

AI’s Transformative Impact: Discover how AI is redefining roles and reshaping operational functions across the Australian Defence Force and the broader Defence Industry.

Challenges and Technological Solutions: Delve into the obstacles to building an inclusive workforce and examine how cutting-edge technologies—from inclusive design and accessible work practices to ethical AI frameworks and adaptive training—offer real solutions.

By tapping into the full spectrum of Australian talent and leveraging the unique perspectives that women bring, we can secure a strategic edge—building a stronger, more capable, and future-ready sovereign Defence force
