Gwen Cohen
Gwen has over 20 years of experience specialising in the public sector, energy, infrastructure, and materials. She is a distinguished leader recognised for her contributions to digital transformation, sustainability, and the development of sovereign capability.
In her role as the Director of the Public Sector and Alliances at Dassault Systèmes, she is instrumental in forging partnerships and pioneering initiatives that foster innovation within the Cities & Public, Aerospace & Defence, and Energy & Materials sectors. She has a particular focus on the development of critical raw materials, enhancing advanced manufacturing, and ensuring infrastructure resilience. Additionally, she oversees the alliance strategy for the Asia Pacific South region, which encompasses Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
Gwen has cultivated strong national partnerships with universities and technical colleges, aimed at stimulating innovation within battery supply chains. She has also successfully convened a cross-sector consortium of industry leaders and academic partners to promote collaborative research and development in modern manufacturing.
Moreover, Gwen has been actively involved in supporting the demonstration of innovative pilots and proofs of concept for spatial digital twins and virtual communities. These initiatives have significant implications for sustainable resource management, clean energy transitions, emergency preparedness, resilient infrastructure, and the enhancement of citizen well-being. Her work in enabling the modelling of industrial symbiosis across large industrial precincts is helping to advance circular economy principles and improve system efficiency.
Gwen serves as a Non-Executive Director for Lithium Valley WA, the Australian Microgrids Centre of Excellence, and Bardan Cells.
